When I launched my latest single, Stressed Out, it was designed to resonate as more than just music—it’s a declaration of resilience and a nod to unwavering determination. Although my personal journey doesn’t encompass experiences with anxiety or depression, this project is wholeheartedly dedicated to those who do. I deeply admire the fortitude they display in confronting such significant battles. To further support this community, I committed to donating $1 to the ADAA for every pre-save of the track, aiming to contribute to their crucial work in destigmatizing mental health challenges.
For me, Stressed Out embodies the relentless pursuit of ambitious goals amidst the everyday pressures of life. Whether it’s the constant juggle of a demanding schedule, the commitment to artistic development, or the sheer effort of building a music career from scratch, stress has often been an unwelcome companion. However, instead of succumbing to it, I’ve learned to harness this stress as a catalyst for motivation. This song is fundamentally about tapping into that inner reserve of strength to persevere, even when life feels overwhelmingly burdensome, and ultimately emerge stronger on the other side.

My decision to share my story through ADAA stems from a deep-seated belief in the vital importance of championing and amplifying mental health awareness. Through the release of Stressed Out and the accompanying campaign, I’ve had the privilege of engaging with people who confront anxiety and depression daily. While my own narrative centers on the resilience needed to chase aspirations and manage stress, I hold immense respect for the bravery required to face mental health challenges head-on.
By sharing Stressed Out and the journey behind it, my aspiration is to offer encouragement to others—whether they are striving towards their personal milestones or grappling with mental health issues.
