Honoring Dr. Cristina Mendoza Padilla: A Legacy of Music Education
We remember and celebrate Dr. Cristina Mendoza Padilla, a cherished professor, mentor, and colleague at Lone Star College-Montgomery. As the long-time Director of Bands and Instrumental Area Coordinator, Dr. Padilla’s influence on our music program was profound. She passionately directed the Jazz Ensemble and the Symphonic Band and shared her expertise teaching Music History and American Popular Music.
In honor of her recent passing, her family and colleagues are establishing an endowed scholarship at LSC-Montgomery through the Lone Star College Foundation. This scholarship will perpetuate her dedication to music education, assisting deserving music students in achieving their academic dreams and keeping her memory alive.
