Compiling this playlist was quite the journey! I realized that 2005 was a phenomenal year for ballads, a genre I deeply appreciate. The sheer number of exceptional tracks from this year meant expanding my usual selection to a Top 100, rather than just a Top 50. Crafting this list took around two months, and while it was a labor of love, it wasn’t without its challenges. Just as I was about to share it, I discovered that 14 songs had been removed in the past week. After some frantic searching, I managed to recover 12 of them. However, this unexpected detour led me to rediscover some Famous Songs In 2005 that I initially missed, allowing me to enhance the list with three additional gems. I truly believe 2005 stands out as my favorite classic year in K-Pop so far, and this experience has only increased my excitement for exploring the music of 2004 and earlier!
