Sharing stages with incredible artists like Slightly Stoopid, Rebelution, Pepper, Stick Figure, and the Marley brothers, and contributing to platforms like California Roots and Hill Kid Clothing – these past ten years have been a whirlwind of dreams realized. At the heart of this incredible journey is California Roots, a festival that has profoundly shaped my path as an artist, writer, and musician. It was there I first connected with Rebelution, discovered Marley’s Hill Kid clothing line, and found a community where friendships blossomed into family.
Monterey, with its stunning coastline and rich musical heritage, provides the perfect backdrop for California Roots. This festival encapsulates everything I cherish: music, camaraderie, and the vibrant energy of life itself, all within a single unforgettable weekend. It’s a place where I experienced love, sharing special moments with someone who became incredibly important to me, and witnessed my aspirations of performing on the main stage materialize year after year. My deep appreciation for this music festival inspired me to create a song dedicated to it. This track, years in the making, is my personal “California Song,” a heartfelt love letter to Cali Roots. As my debut release as a solo artist, I couldn’t imagine a more fitting way to share it with the world than through the very experience that inspired it.
