Drake Drops Surprise Trio of New Songs: What Fans Need to Know

Drake has once again surprised his fans with the sudden release of three new tracks. On Friday, music enthusiasts noticed new songs surfacing through Drake’s alternative Instagram account, @plottttwistttttt. This unexpected drop comes just weeks after the artist leaked another set of songs, keeping the music world on its toes.

The newly unveiled tracks are titled “Circadian Rhythm,” “SOD,” and “No Face,” with “No Face” featuring a collaboration with Playboi Carti. Notably, “SOD” seems to be the officially released version of “Supersoak,” a track previously leaked by Lil Yachty on Kai Cenat’s Twitch stream last month. Issues regarding sample clearances, particularly objections from Mr. Hotspot due to religious concerns over the sample, had initially stalled the release of “Supersoak.” The version Drake shared notably omits Lil Yachty.

This latest release is part of an unconventional and cryptic approach Drake has been employing for his new music rollouts. Earlier in May, he shared a collection of unreleased songs such as “It’s Up,” featuring Young Thug and 21 Savage, alongside “Blue Green Red,” and “Housekeeping Knows,” which features Latto. These tracks, accompanied by behind-the-scenes videos and alternative cover art, were initially hosted on the website 100gigs.org.

These new songs break a period of relative quiet for Drake during the summer months, especially following his highly publicized rap feud with Kendrick Lamar. Lamar’s diss track, “Not Like Us,” became a dominant song of the summer, holding the top spot on the Hot 100 chart for two weeks.

As of now, it remains unclear whether Drake intends to make these newly released songs available for purchase on major streaming platforms. Representatives for Drake have not yet responded to requests for comments regarding the official release plans for these tracks. Fans are keenly awaiting further updates on the availability of these surprise drops.
