Step-by-Step Guide to Crafting Your Musical Birthday Card

Let’s get started on creating this memorable birthday card. Follow these steps to bring your musical vision to life.

1. Stamping the “Happy Birthday” Lyrics

The heart of our card is the “Happy Birthday” sentiment. Using the Stamparatus tool ensures precise and consistent stamping, especially when working with multiple words.

Mount the “Happy Birthday” stamp from the Picture Perfect Birthday set and “to you” from the Tabs for Everything set onto Stamparatus plates. Tip: Using photopolymer stamps of the same type ensures even height and stamping.
Ink the stamps with Soft Suede ink and stamp them onto a rectangular piece of Whisper White cardstock. The Stamparatus allows for restamping if needed to achieve a dark, solid impression.

2. Creating the Sheet Music Background

Take the Sheet Music background stamp and Sahara Sand ink.
Stamp the sheet music background onto a Whisper White cardstock rectangle. Make this rectangle the full length of your Crumb Cake card front (5 1/2″) and about 2″ wide. Layer the leaf print banner strip on top of the sheet music background.
